This quick and delicious ginger, grapefruit, and blood orange juice recipe is a fantastic way to start off your morning.

One of our main goals with this blog is to keep most posts short and sweet. For one, most of you don't have the time or desire to read about every minute detail of our lives. For another, a common complaint of both ours and other blog readers is the annoyance of scrolling past 50 images and 12 paragraphs to reach the recipe. In honor of that resolution, here's what you're getting with today's juice recipe: 2 photos, 2 paragraphs, and 1 quick recipe! 

We love making juice at home for more than a few reasons. Most importantly, it's more cost effective than many store-bought juices and the ingredients are fresher (and thus more flavorful). This blood orange juice recipe is perfect for a gloomy winter day. Blood orange, grapefruit & lemon makes for a balanced blend of citrus, and fresh ginger, turmeric and cinnamon add a much needed warmth. If you don't have an actual juicer at home, you can either squeeze by hand (it may take a while) or peel the citrus, blend for about 1 minute in your blender, and strain through a cheesecloth or nut milk bag. Ginger, Grapefruit & Blood Orange Juice

Description

This refreshing juice is full of immune-boosting ingredients - perfect for January!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 blood oranges
  • 2 medium grapefruit
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 inch piece of fresh turmeric, peeled
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. If you have a juicer, simply juice all citrus, ginger & turmeric. Whisk in cinnamon at end.
  2. If you're using a blender, peel and blend all ingredients well. Strain through cheesecloth or nut milk bag to remove pulp. Store in refrigerator for up to 5 days. Enjoy!
