Today we're sharing six of our favorite fall juice recipes: Carrot Orange Turmeric, Apple Pear + Greens, Cranberry Apple, Harvest Beet + Veggie, Grape Cranberry Apple and Beet Strawberry! (My personal favorite is Carrot Orange Turmeric - refreshing and immune-boosting!)
About a year ago, we invested in a high quality, slow press juicer (we use this one). It has been a great way for us to incorporate more veggies into our diet without much effort. It has also helped us reduce our food waste. When we have produce odds and ends or produce that's on it's way out, we try to make a big batch of juice so we can use it up. Besides drinking it straight up, we also add it to smoothies. You can even pour the juice into ice cube molds to add to smoothies if you prefer them thicker.
Not sure what to do with all of that leftover veggie and fruit pulp? Try these Juice Pulp Vegan Meatballs! Depending on what we're juicing, we occasionally save the vegetable pulp to stir in to our dogs' food. Just make sure you know which vegetables and fruits are safe before doing so (here's a good list). We typically do this with leftover carrot, beet, cucumber and greens pulp. And yes, our dogs LOVE it.
