This Peach Infused Vodka is a delicious, summery spirit that couldn't be easier to make! It elevates any summer cocktail, but we especially love adding it to a simple, 3-ingredient peach ginger fizz with Q GINGER BEER.

This post is sponsored by Q Mixers. All opinions are our own.

Memorial Day Weekend is the official start to summer (in my opinion), and what better way to kick it off than an infusion made with our favorite summer fruit?!

It only takes a few fresh peaches to transform any bottle of vodka into a delicious summery spirit. This peach vodka is perfect for elevating your favorite summer cocktails, and it looks (and smells) incredible! It pairs perfectly with this corn salsa – just swap the mango for peaches.

This recipe is part of our Infuse Your Booze series on Instagram, where we're sharing all of our favorite ways to infuse spirits with fresh produce, spices and more. If you're new to infusing, check out this guide on how to infuse any alcohol.

Peach Vodka Ingredients

For the peach infused vodka

  • Peaches: The more ripe your peaches are, the more flavor and sweetness they will impart. Any variety of peach will work well here, and you can also substitute peaches with nectarines or another stone fruit if preferred.
  • Vodka: We typically like to use a mid-range vodka for infusing. We don't recommend using anything too inexpensive, as the flavor of the vodka will still shine through. It's also not necessary to use something super high end, because the peaches add a ton of flavor and really tone down the bite from the vodka.

For the peach ginger fizz cocktail

  • Q GINGER BEER: Peach and ginger are a fantastic flavor combination, and this is our go-to ginger beer! I don't like when ginger beer is overly sweet, and I love that Q Mixers is never too sweet, but it's still packed with flavor. This ginger beer is made with organic agave, ginger and chili peppers, so it really provides a nice kick to this cocktail. It's also super fizzy (and stays that way!), so this cocktail is super refreshing, especially on a hot summer day.
  • Find Q GINGER BEER in a store near you here.
  • Peach infused vodka: We're using two ounces in this cocktail, but feel free to add more or less as preferred. For extra peach flavor and freshness, you can also add in a splash of peach puree.
  • Lemon juice: Freshly squeezed is always best when it comes to cocktails!

PREP: To make this recipe, you'll need a large jar. This is the one we used.

STEP 1: Fill a large (1 liter+) jar with sliced peaches. Cover fully with vodka, making sure the peaches are fully submerged.

STEP 2: Let sit in a cool, dark place for at least 3 days, or up to a week.

Strain through a fine mesh sieve.

STEP 3: To extract maximum flavor, squeeze the peaches through cheesecloth into the vodka to squeeze out any excess moisture.

Funnel the strained peach vodka into a jar or bottle. You can keep it stored at room temperature, or stash it in the fridge or freezer if you prefer your vodka chilled.

STEP 4: To make the cocktail, fill a glass with ice.

Add in the peach infused vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice and Q GINGER BEER to top it off. Stir gently. Optional: top with peach slices for garnish.

Substitutions and Variations

This peach vodka recipe is pretty straightforward, but here are a few quick substitutions if needed:

  • Alcohol: If you're not a fan of vodka, peaches also pair really well with bourbon, tequila and gin.
  • Peaches: You can experiment with different types of stone fruit, or even a combination of several types for a different flavor. Try apricots, nectarines or cherries for a different flavor profile!
  • Add-ins: To add extra flavor to your peach vodka, try adding in a vanilla bean, fresh ginger, a few cinnamon sticks, or a handful of toasted pecans.

What to Serve with Peach Vodka

We like to make a super simple grilled peach and corn salsa for pairing with this cocktail!

Here's how to make it:

Preheat grill to medium. Cut 3 large peaches in half. Brush the cut side of each peach with a little bit of oil, then place on the grill for about 3-4 minutes.

Grill 4 ears of corn for about 10 minutes, turning each cob every few minutes.

Chop up the grilled peaches and slice the corn off the cobs. Add them to a bowl with ½ cup finely chopped red onion, 1 small jalapeño (finely minced), ½ cup red bell pepper (finely chopped), ¼ cup finely chopped cilantro, juice from 1 lime and salt to taste.

Enjoy with tortilla chips!

Equipment

Here's what you'll need to make this peach infused vodka:

  • A large glass jar: You'll need at least a 1 liter jar for this recipe, or even larger. This is the one we typically use.
  • Fine mesh sieve for straining the vodka
  • Q GINGER BEER for the peach ginger fizz cocktail
  • Optional: cheesecloth for squeezing out excess liquid from the peaches

Storage

While the peach vodka is infusing, you can keep it stored in a cool, dark place (room temperature). As long as the peaches are fully submerged in alcohol, you don't have to worry about any mold growth. Don't stress if the upper layer of peaches start to brown a bit – it's just from oxidation.

After straining the vodka, you can keep the vodka stored at room temperature. It should technically last indefinitely, but if it develops any strange odors or colors (or if there is mold growth, discard. You can also keep it stashed in the fridge or freezer if you prefer your vodka chilled.

FAQ

Can you use the vodka-infused peaches in another recipe?

We get this question all the time, and to be honest, you probably won't want to. All of the flavor from the peaches transfers to the vodka, so they end up tasting like pure alcohol. We prefer to just squeeze any excess liquid from the peaches and then discard the scraps.

Can you use frozen peaches instead of fresh?

That should be completely fine. Let the peaches thaw slightly before adding them to the jar.

Can you use a nonalcoholic alternative?

Technically yes, but you will not be able to leave it out at room temperature, and it will not have a very long shelf life even stored in the refrigerator.

Description

This Peach Infused Vodka is a delicious, summery spirit that couldn't be easier to make! It elevates any summer cocktail, but we especially love adding it to a simple, 3-ingredient peach ginger fizz.

Ingredients

For the vodka:

  • 3-4 cups sliced peaches
  • 750ml vodka

For the cocktail:

  • 2 oz peach infused vodka
  • ½ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 oz Q GINGER BEER
  • For garnish: fresh peach slices

Instructions

For the vodka:

  1. Fill a large (1 liter+) jar with sliced peaches. Cover fully with vodka, making sure the peaches are fully submerged.
  2. Let sit in a cool, dark place for at least 3 days, or up to a week.
  3. Strain through a fine mesh sieve. To extract maximum flavor, squeeze the peaches through cheesecloth into the vodka to squeeze out any excess moisture.

For the cocktail:

  1. To make the cocktail, fill a glass with ice.
  2. Add in the peach infused vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice and ginger beer to top it off. Stir gently. Optional: top with peach slices for garnish.

Notes

Leftover peaches: We always get asked if you can use the vodka-infused peaches in another recipe, and to be honest, you probably won't want to. All of the flavor from the peaches transfers to the vodka, so they end up tasting like pure alcohol. We prefer to just squeeze any excess liquid from the peaches and then discard the scraps.

Storage: While the peach vodka is infusing, you can keep it stored in a cool, dark place (room temperature).

Alcohol substitutions: If you're not a fan of vodka, peaches also pair really well with bourbon, tequila and gin. You can technically also make this with a zero-proof vodka alternative, but you will have to keep it stored in the refrigerator, and once strained, the shelf life (in fridge) will not be as long.
