What you'll need to make this recipe
- Fresh mint: a non-negotiable for any good mojito! If you're planning to make the mistletoe garnish, look for mint that has a fairly thick stem. This will make it easier to poke the toothpick through.
- Rum: White rum is best for a mojito, as it won't overpower the other flavors like dark or spiced rum would.
- Cranberry juice: We use 100% no sugar added. If you use sweetened cranberry juice, cut back on the simple syrup.
- Lime juice: Freshly squeezed is always best for a cocktail.
- Simple syrup: You can buy this or make it in 5 minutes by combining equal parts sugar and water in a pot until the sugar is dissolved.
- Q CRANBERRY POMEGRANATE SPRITZ: Weโre always stocked up on Q MIXERS for the holidays and this limited time flavor has been our go-to this fall! Itโs subtly sweet (only 4g of cane sugar and 20 calories!), super fizzy and crisp, and itโs good enough to drink on its own or add to any cocktail or mocktail.ย
How to make this recipe
Add the mint and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and gently muddle for about 10-15 seconds.
Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with ice, then add in the rum, cranberry juice and lime juice.

Shake for 15 seconds, then strain into a large glass filled with ice. Top off with cranberry pomegranate spritz.

To make the mistletoe garnish, skewer the mint stem with two toothpicks, directly underneath the leaves. Skewer cranberries on both sides of each toothpick, then use scissors to cut off and toothpick that is sticking out. Garnish your cocktail and enjoy!

Substitutions
If you can't find the Q MIXERS flavor we used in this recipe, you can substitute it with club soda or sparkling water of your choice. (A lime flavor would be great in this, too!)
If you can't find unsweetened cranberry juice, you can use sweetened, but to avoid making the cocktail too sweet, use less simple syrup. Start with ยผ ounce and taste before adding more.
Lexi & Beth's Top Tip
Don't over-muddle your mint. The goal is the release the mint's fragrant oils without bruising or tearing the mint, which can make it bitter. As a general rule of thumb, you should gently muddle for about 10 seconds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Multiply the ingredients by however many cocktails you're planning to make. Each cocktail is about 5 ounces of liquid without the club soda, so keep that in mind when you calculate how many cocktails worth your pitcher will fit. Muddle the mint leaves and simple syrup at the bottom of the pitcher, then add all of the other ingredients except for the club soda and whisk well to combine. Refrigerate for several hours, until you're ready to serve. Pour into glasses and top off individually with club soda just before serving.
Combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan and heat over medium-low until the sugar is completely dissolved. Let it cool, then pour it into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to a month.
