This apple cider bourbon cocktail is the definition of fall in a glass. With crisp, lightly sweet notes and caramel-y bourbon, it makes for a refreshing, unique seasonal cocktail.

I was a bit hesitant about bourbon before attempting this recipe (I'm more of a tequila or wine person myself. Also, yes I know, tequila and wine is an interesting juxtaposition). My brothers, however, sip bourbon like it's apple juice (slight hyperbole, don't worry). This recipe was a request of theirs and it ended up being a new favorite of mine as well! We've made it 5+ times so far this fall, and it's a great way to use up that gallon of apple cider that you really intended to use, but haven't quite gotten around to finishing.

Over the 5+ times we've made this recipe, we've slightly tweaked it each time. This most recent variation is my favorite; maple syrup adds just the right amount of sweetness and is an easy replacement for simple syrup. Coombs Maple syrup is our personal favorite (check out this post for more info about the nutritional benefits of maple syrup).

Divine! A few steps up from your normal bourbon and cider. Love all the extras - maple syrup, grand mariner, lemon, and ginger beer. So festive! Thank you!
