Description

The easiest cheesy vegan garlic bread tastes (and smells) as amazing as it looks! Just 7 simple ingredients and ready in less than 20 minutes. The perfect side dish for pasta, pizza, salad and so much more!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 French loaf or baguette, cut in half lengthwise (1 lb. loaf)
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder (or fresh minced garlic)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons finely minced parsley
  • 1/4-1/3 cup vegan parmesan*

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400˚F / 205˚C. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Melt butter, then stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parsley until well combined.
  3. Using a basting brush, coat bread evenly with garlic butter.
  4. Sprinkle grated parmesan over the top and bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown. Slice bread and serve.

Notes

*You can substitute the vegan parmesan with 3-4 tablespoons of nutritional yeast if preferred. If you use nutritional yeast, stir it directly into the garlic butter instead of sprinkling on top.

Bread: We personally prefer a softer French or Italian bread loaf. You can also use a baguette, a sourdough loaf, ciabatta, or another bread of choice.

Storage: Store leftover vegan garlic bread in an airtight container or wrapped in aluminum foil in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or store in the freezer for 3-6 months.

Reheat in a 350˚F oven until warmed through, or in the microwave (be sure to remove the aluminum foil!).
